In order to achieve our goals, you’ll be tasked with implementing and executing the business’s financial, risk and operational strategies, ensuring that compliance and control systems are operating effectively, and capital is allocated efficiently.

Woodsford TradeBridge is a non-bank provider of flexible working capital facilities to growing businesses. We are turning this year, and in that time, we have provided over EUR 2 billion of funding to businesses across Europe, including many household names. You will be joining a growing and dynamic team working from our new office located in the heart of Paris.
In this role, you will be building and growing a robust finance, risk, ops, and accounting function for a new regulated business in France. You will be working alongside the President of the SAS as part of a small hands-on team to build and set the foundation of a successful French entity.
As part of the Woodsford TradeBridge team you will have at your fingertips our leading technology solution (Woodsfod BridgeIT), a SalesForce CRM, and a fully integrated Oracle NetSuite financials package.
Your responsibilities will be:
Lead, coordinate and take responsibility for the daily operations of Finance, Compliance, Risk, Control, and Accounting functions for France as the key function holder.
Implement and contribute to the ongoing development of systems, processes, internal controls, and policies that will scale with future growth of both the local organisation and the Ggroup systems.
Responsible for all aspects of the finance and accounting operations for the French entity, including: periodic financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements), forecasts, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, payroll and tax, procurement, and risk management. This includes communication and reporting for regulators, financial and tax authoritiesauthorities, and Group HQ in the UK.
Perform in-depth financial analysis, including analysing margins, client pricing, variance analyses and key drivers of business performance.
Lead regular and ad hoc strategic financial planning and budget / forecast development.
Develop and implement benchmarks for measuring progress on financial and operating KPIs.
Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and coordinate financial and internal audits.
Be the senior relationship holder for key local business partners including banks (transactions and funding), insurers, auditors etc.
Depending on your specific background and experience, you may be allocated global responsibility for either key Woodsford TradeBridge B functions or product areas within the Finance and Treasury team and specific global business improvement and new business projects.
5+ years’ experience in a financial management-level position in a regulated environment at a financial services company or bank (or equivalent experience).
Proven ability to instil a mindset of operational excellence that emphasizes execution.
Excited to operate in an agile environment, juggling priorities of multiple internal and external projects, and driving all projects to completion.
Flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and bring a “doer” mentality.”
Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English and the ability to speak to different functions and Group HQ in the UK.
Experience with NetSuite (or similar platforms) and manage integrations to other tools (e.g. CRM, business intelligence, etc.)
Deep expertise of finance, accounting, budgeting, risk and cost control principles, including French IFRS Accounting Principles and French tax regimes.
Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex finance and accounting principles to multiple levels within the organization and to external stakeholders.
Past experienceExperience in fintech or payments a plus, but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of expertise.
